This year brought out a bit of a change, as we held the Bake Sale outside the Wal-Mart in Tunkhannock. And though the day was cold, it was sunny and windless. With a table piled high with homemade breads, cakes, containers of fudge and beautifully plated cookies and candies, we were greeted by holiday shoppers, workers and visitors. What a day! We had a steady stream of visitors, buying goods and wishing us well. This was the most successful Bake Sale yet, with sales and orders exceeding last year’s by a wide margin. What a great time we had, and we appreciate the kindness and generosity we were shown by the residents of Tunkhannock. Thank you.

We would also like to thank everyone else who made our event such a success: our volunteers, Wal-Mart for allowing us space outside their location (and for their generous monetary donation), and especially Yvonne, who works so hard to pull off her annual baking marathon.

Next year's sale is already in the works and volunteers are needed to staff the tables during the day (only an hour or two at a time). If you can spare some time, give us a call!
